Miami Beach, FL – February 26, 2015 – Lionheart Capital, developer of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach, hosted an intimate soiree celebrating the Miami chapter launch of Glasswing International, an innovative Central American nonprofit that addresses the root causes of poverty and violence through education, volunteer projects, and community health. The affair which took place at the luxury residential development’s sales gallery, drew notable Miami philanthropists and business professionals, all united to share a common interest in improving the lives of thousands of children, youth and families in Central America. Lionheart Capital is an avid supporter of Glasswing International, having donated 100 hospital beds and medical equipment in 2014 to contribute to and show its support of the charity’s noble efforts in helping the Central American youth. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by the organization’s Director of Development Anabay Sullivan and were led to strategic points throughout the sales gallery that featured first-person accounts of children who had been directly helped by Glasswing. Later in the evening, the development’s Director of Sales George Mato addressed guests conveying the relationship between the luxury residential project and Glasswing International, and introduced the organization’s Vice-President of Programs and Co-Founder Celina de Sola. Celina communicated to guests Glasswing International’s impact and significant growth garnered since its 2008 inception, having helped more than 500,000 beneficiaries in Central America with 62,000 volunteers and 7,000 health and first responders. Throughout the evening guests sipped cocktails from natural hard-shell coconuts by Coconut Cartel, a company with products sourced from El Salvador and an avid supporter of the organization as well. After the speeches, guests enjoyed an assortment of artisanal cheeses and explored the modernist-designed sales gallery, which features a high-tech media wall, including holograms, mini-dioramas of the project, a 3D expansive scale model as well as a screening room featuring a short film on The Residences narrated by Italian architect Piero Lissoni.
