Miami Beach, FL – June 25-28, 2010 – The 6th Annual Irie Weekend was a HUGE success. It’s right about this time of the year that I’m reminded of why we put so much time, effort, energy and love into this event, for the smiles on our kids faces. Big Brother’s Big Sisters of Greater Miami as an organization really takes an active role in Irie Weekend by bringing out their Bigs & Littles to participate. The kids got to see many of their favorite stars from the sports, film and television industries. Some of our guests including Chris Bosh, Jason Taylor, Luke Wilson, Larry English, Wesley Jonathan, Joey Fatone and Brandon Marshall were especially big hits with the kids.

The Crown Royal Black lounge on Friday night really set the perfect tone for the weekend. Our guest sipped on Crown Royal Black cocktails while listening to the sultry sounds of DJ Sky Nellor and posed for pictures with the lovely Selita Ebanks. Later that night we took the party to another level at LIV nightclub for our kick-off celebration. WOW, what a night! Definitely one of the best kick-off parties to date! On Saturday we turned up the heat (literally) for our celebrity golf tournament at the Miami Beach Golf Course! It was an amazing day of golf all made extremely enjoyable with the help of our partners for the afternoon like Specialty Automotive Treatments, Corona, Miss Geico Racing, Glam Rock Watches, American Airlines, Adventura Limo, Bang Olufsen, Blackberry RIM/Telenav to name a few.
