Kicking off the night was the opening of WasteAfterWaste (2015), a newly commissioned installation by artist Diego Bianchi. The installation featured a special four-day performance that used tattoos as a method to consider waste and “disposable” products in relation to material commitments that last a lifetime. Just outside the exhibition on the bayfront beach, visitors enjoyed a big screen presentation of “How to Steal a Million” (1966), a romantic heist comedy starring Audrey Hepburn and Peter O’Toole, complete with wine and cheese plates, movie theater concession favorites and cocktails.
