South Florida Design Park Celebrates Spring Market

Hollywood, FL – February 19, 2015 – South Florida Design Park (SFDP), Florida’s new design destination, along with CULTURED Magazine celebrated SFDP Spring Market and the Chinese New Year alike with a day long fetè of design seminars, home fashion and art presentations. Stark Carpet Chairman John Stark and Missoni Home welcomed guests with the latest spring collections of luxurious textiles, carpets and accessories from the iconic Italian design house. Guests enjoyed a Chinese New Year spread from Chef Thierry Isambert. J Nelson welcomed guests for après lunch cocktails with a massive table filled with Chinese porcelain from Ann Getty House, with gold plated Maneki Neko Fortune Cats and mounds of Fortune Cookies. Master Mixologist Josè Cespedes of SLS South Beach designed cocktails that were served from a custom bar by Bellavista Collection. Over-painted photographs of Pharrel, Bruno Mars and Toni Garrn, among others, from Hunter and Gatti’s series ‘I Will Make You a Star’ were presented. A portrait of Chinese actress Ziyi Zhang of Memories of a Geisha and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon hung over an antique Louis XVI mirror. Earlier in the day Jerry Pair hosted a Meta-Marketing seminar with Steve Nobel. The showroom also closed the day of events with J. Robert Scott. CEO, Richard Chilcott’s presentation ‘Making Super Yacht Dreams Come True.’ Scalamandrė, Grange, Judith Norman and Stephen Turner all showcased their latest textile and furnishings collections, while Snaidero presented new kitchen and bath surfaces from Opustone.
