Miami, FL – January 31, 2015 – It was all about striking out for a cause as Jon Jay, St. Louis Cardinals outfielder, Miami native and Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade alumnus, hosted The Jon Jay FMSbonds Celebrity Bowling Challenge at Splitsville Lanes. Joining Jay during the fun filled evening included Bravo’s Andy Cohen along with football star Olivier Vernon, and other baseball stars including Yonder Alonso, Chris Marrero, Matt Holliday, and Gio Gonzalez. The fundraiser festivities included cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an array of exciting bowling matches. “We’re grateful that for the third consecutive year, Jon Jay is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade for this wonderful community event,” said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. “With the efforts of individuals such as Jon, we continue to make a difference in the lives of many area youth.” Proceeds from the event benefitted Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade to support its many positive programs for thousands of area youth.
