Miami, FL – December 17, 2014 – It was all about celebrating and spreading some holiday cheer yesterday as Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez hosted and funded his seventh annual holiday party at Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s Hank Kline Club. Over 270 children and members of the Hank Kline Club joined in on the celebration. The kids and Rodriguez spent the evening enjoying a pizza party, indulging in some sweet treats, singing the latest karaoke tunes and relishing some quality time with the baseball maven. As a child, Rodriguez attended the Hank Kline Club, where he participated in its baseball program. He flourished at the Club, remaining a member until the day he was drafted out of high school as the first overall selection in the 1993 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners. Rodriguez has been a supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade since he signed his first professional baseball contract in 1993.
