Andy Warhol in Miami: A Reception with Christie’s for Theory and Helmut Lang
Miami, FL – December 4, 2014 – In celebration of Theory and Helmut Lang’s store openings in Miami’s Design District, both esteemed fashion brands partnered with Christie’s auction house and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts to outfit their stores in Andy Warhol prints in light of Art Basel. Shoppers and art aficionados spent the evening browsing the latest works, as well as checking out everything the new stores had to offer. Ten percent of the proceeds from the evening’s sales went to benefit the Andy Warhol Museum. Notable attendees included Paul Andrew (CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund winner), Amelia Manderscheid (Event host and Christie’s head of ECommerce for Post War & Contemporary Art), Jessica Katz (Event host and Regional Director, Christie’s Miami), Maura Smith (Event host and Regional Director, Christie’s Palm Beach), and Patrick Moore (Deputy Director at the Andy Warhol Museum).
