Miami, FL – December 1, 2014 – The Institute for the Development of Emerging Art (IDEA), has joined together with Kowal+Odermatt Miami based-gallery for IDEA Miami, a partnership to promote early career artists, curators and gallerists and leverage international relationships to gain exposure for the next generation of the art world. The collaboration presented a series of private events, including a survey exhibition of emerging contemporary art from recently successful early career artists to relatively unknown artists, a brunch and a dinner party, all concurrent with Art Basel Miami. On Monday evening, guests gathered at the Kowal + Odermatt gallery for a lavish, private dinner to kick off the famed Art Basel week. Before indulging in a delicious meal, guests browsed the new works from resident artists including Peter Peri, Fernando Mastrangelo and Jean Sebastien Gregoire, as well as works from emerging female artists featuring Catherine Ahearn, Nina Beier, Petra Cortright, Théa Djordjaze, Latifa Echakhch, and Camille Henrot to name a few.
