Heart & Star Award Dinner

Pinecrest, FL – April 7, 2011 – More than 300 business, community, and social leaders throughout South Florida came together for a festive dinner. Cancer Support Community advocates and participants celebrate “life beyond cancer” by paying tribute to the Heart & Star Award recipients: the Champion of the Human Spirit and the Champion of the Community Spirit.

There are two key components to selecting the Cancer Support Community Heart & Star Award honorees. One quality is the instillation of hope at a time when too often things feel hopeless:; The other is that of building community at a time when too often one feels alone. Our two prestigious award categories, the Champion of the Human Spirit and the Champion of the Community Spirit, have been created in recognition of these important characteristics. Congratulations to this years honorees Joseph Roisman & Adam Carlin !
