Juice Foundation Luncheon

Miami, FL – April 5, 2011 – Neiman Marcus Coral Gables and Jenine Howard, wife of Miami Heat‘s Juwan Howard, hosted an intimate luncheon and fashion presentation in honor of the Juice Foundation. Over a year ago, Jenine’s brother- in- law, later called “Juice”, was diagnosed with stage four cancer, and given three months to live and no options for treatment. Every cancer center told him he was too weak to receive treatment. Jenine began researching alternative programs that could help. Juice enrolled in a center, and received alternative treatment, accompanied with an organic based diet. Because of the diet and treatments, his life was prolonged for just over a year. Founded in 2010, JUICE pinpoints a healthy lifestyle as the essential key to the preventative effect of cancer and improving cancer survival. Through an array of healthy lifestyle forums and events, the foundation encourages individuals to be nutritious and active. These events also raise funds for selected cancer research centers in the United States as well as individuals who seek holistic healing for cancer.

The luncheon was decorated with an all natural and organic vibe including arrangements of beautiful hyacinth, coral roses and wheat grass. Guests previewed upcoming Fall 2011 trends as well as learned how to transition their Spring/Summer wardrobes into Fall. Tracey Mourning, a guest at the event, celebrated her birthday with the group. Guests sang Happy Birthday to the birthday girl, and celebrated with a champagne toast.

Jenine was supported by many of her Miami Heat family including, Adrienne Williams, Savannah Brinson, Michelle Mashburn and Jennifer Ilgauskas, and Tracy Mourning along with other guests.
