Miami, FL – October 17, 2014 – Ahh, at last the most wonderful time of the year is finally back, ballet season! Miami City Ballet opened on Friday evening at the Adrienne Arsht Center with the grand, full-scale classic of Romeo and Juliet. John Cranko’s classical ballet interpretation of Shakespeare’s famed play has brought the timeless, tragic tale of impassioned love to life. Set to Prokofiev’s prized score and having been only performed once to sold-out crowds during the Company’s 25th anniversary season, MCB proudly welcomed this beloved ballet, featuring exquisite costumes and sets. Before the show began, guests enjoyed a fabulous VIP pre-show soiree which featured photo-ops with dancers, a live DJ, and of course, delicious specialty cocktails.
