Fort Lauderdale, FL – July 2, 2014 – If you’re familiar with the Fort Lauderdale area then you know that the city has been evolving into quite the foodie haven lately. On Thursday evening, more than 250 South Florida tastemakers joined The Restaurant People and Venice Magazine to celebrate the latest and greatest restaurant to hit Las Olas, Fork & Balls. Mayor Jack Seiler of Fort Lauderdale was onsite for the invite-only soiree, joining The Restaurant People executives Tim Petrillo, Alan Hooper and Executive Chef Peter Boulukos, along with Carlos Suarez, publisher/founder of Whitehaus Media Group and Venice Magazine, in cutting the ceremonious ribbon. Following the ceremony, Venice guests mixed and mingled over signature cocktails, craft beer and wine on draft, which were paired to perfection with light bites and select tastings of Fork & Balls’ dishes that of course, included an endless variety of meatballs. The exclusive fete also celebrated Whitehaus Media Group’s new premier Fort Lauderdale lifestyle magazine, Venice, and its second issue hitting the stands.
