Irie Weekend 2014

Hardly ever seen anywhere else other than behind the decks or rocking the Miami Heat games, Miami’s famed music man DJ Irie will be hosting his annual Irie Weekend starting today. A South Florida takeover of talent, celebs and pro athletes, Irie Weekend is where global A-listers come to play and an event locals wouldn’t dream of missing. So what can we expect during this weekend? A three-day celebration featuring a celebrity golf tournament, a concert at LIV nightclub, an afternoon of bowling at Lucky Strike, and a closing party at E11even. Best part about all of this is that the proceeds from Irie Weekend go toward Foundation programming, as well as to benefit a number of other local and national non-profit organizations.

Now that basketball season is over and football season is still a couple of months away we know the sports fans of Miami are needing a fix. Now we know the Miami Marlins don’t usually have the best track record but they can use all the support they can get from us. Come out to Marlins Park tonight through Sunday and root on our Marlins as they take on the New York Mets. It should be a good matchup as we are currently 3rd in NL Eastern Division so get your baseball caps ready because it’s going to be quite a game.
