Miami Beach, FL – June 5, 2014 – It was an evening of celebrating the arts on Thursday evening as Guijarro de Pablo Gallery hosted a very special night with artist Carlos Garcia de la Nuez in collaboration with the new Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach. Over 100 guests enjoyed delicious summer cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the context of an art exhibition of Garcia de la Nuez’ most recent work. The gallery Guijarro de Pablo, who has represented Carlos for over 20 years, was established in Mexico City in 1985 under the direction of Raul Guijarro de Pablo. In 2009, The gallery expanded to Miami, Florida. Carlos Garcia de la Nuez is recognized to this day as a figure with an outstanding career among the group of artists that marked the generational rupture in Cuban abstract painting. Notables in attendance include George Sanchez-Calderon, Dan and Kathryn Mikesell, Channing Norton, Alan Kluger, Hernán Arriaga, Iran Issa Khan, and Cathy Leff, among others.
