Miami Beach, FL – February 27, 2011 – Paula Deen hosted a southern dish themed, Down Home Cookin Gospel Brunch presented by Smithfield. The atmosphere of this brunch allowed guests to immerse themselves in a body-and-soul experience. With the singin’ of gospel entertainment as a backdrop and talented guest chefs in the kitchen, guests felt as if they left Miami in favor of Deen’s native Savannah. Guests enjoyed a menu of such home-style Southern favorites as grits (with a twist), fried green tomatoes, homemade pork sausage, spiked iced tea, stiff Bloody Mary’s, and more dishes of pure southern goodness.
