Miami Beach, FL – February 25, 2011 – Industry professionals representing local wine and spirits merchants, restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs, were invited to an exclusive showcase of premium beverages from 150 of the world’s most-respected wine, spirits, water, and coffee producers for the Wine Spectator Trade Tasting. Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida offers this complimentary afternoon as a special thank you to its loyal customers and to those who have worked tirelessly to make South Florida THE place to be. Each year the Festival highlights a different country’s wine and culinary contributions. For it’s 10th anniversary, the Festival is dedicating a pavilion to the “Experience Italy” tent which will showcase some of Italy’s finest wines as well as a wide range of specialty food products. For the first time ever the Wine Spectator Trade Tasting stage will turn into a battleground during the 4 Orange Premium Vodka Classic Cocktail Competition. Challengers from all over the country descended on South Beach to create the Next Classic Cocktail using 4 Orange Premium Vodka, the only vodka made from pure Florida oranges. An expert tasting panel reviewed the cocktails and judged them based on appearance, aroma, taste and overall impression. (The person…) who ‘squeezed’ out the win, received $3,000, a trophy and certificate, and the title of “4 Orange Vodka U.S. Champion 2011.”
