February 16, 2011 – When we first shot back in July for PETA, I had assumed that this billboard had gone up outside the Cattle Industry Annual Convention and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Trade Show on February 2. I had no idea that it was the center of so much controversy. The billboard which features a voluptuous brunette with a string of sausages draped around her neck—along with the words, “I Threw a Party, but the Cattlemen Couldn’t Come. Eating meat can cause impotence. Go vegan!” has been shut out of Denver. PETA had hoped to have the ad up in time to coincide with the conventions but the city’s outdoor advertisers had other ideas. One wrote, “The direct sexual innuendo is the biggest problem. The word ‘come’ then directly talking about impotence leaves little to the imagination. And the girl holding sausage links around her neck on top of that—it’s all too much.”

Special thanks to INCA for the specially made swim suit

What do you think is the billboard too much?
