The Next Generation Filmmaker Series presents “The Sleepwalker”

Park City, UT – January 20, 2014 – The Next Generation Filmmaker Series presented The Sleepwalker at Sundance Film Festival. The film, directed by Mona Fastvold, is about a young couple, Kaia and Andrew, who are renovating a secluded family estate. Their lives violently become disrupted upon the unexpected arrival of Kaia’s sister, Christine, and her fiance, Ira. Prior tensions and jealousies burgeon as new alliances form and childhood patterns resurface. As the days grow darker and the nights more disturbing, Kaia is forced to confront Christine’s increasingly tangled perception of reality, which in turn may have begun to alter her own. When one of the four characters goes missing, the three left behind are flung into upheaval trying to fill in the blanks.
Stars of the film, Christopher Abbott, Brady Corbet, Gitte Witt and Stephanie Ellis all came together for after the viewing for some dinner and mingling. Some other noted faces who popped up at the event included actors Rose McGowan, Michael Pitt, Joshua Leonard, Will Bates, and filmmaker Nick Jarecki. Guests munched on tempura shrimp and quesadillas and sipped delicious Patron cocktails and Chambulls. The party extended into the early morning with everyone still there, including Kurt Russell who decided to stay after his dinner and hang out.
