The Next Generation Filmmaker Series Presents “I Origins”

Park City, UT – January 18, 2014 – On Saturday, writer-director Mike Cahill presented his latest film, I Origins, which is a follow-up to his impressive Sundance multi-award-winning 2011 debut, “Another Earth”. Presented by The Next Generation Filmmaker Series, the bracingly venturesome film is about a molecular biologist and his lab partner who after finding romantic interest in one another uncover evidence that may fundamentally change society, as we know it. It is an enthralling exploration of the connective tissue between love and science. The outstanding cast includes actors Michael Pitt, Brit Marling, Astrid Berges-Frisbey and Steven Yeun. Additional celebrity guests who were also in attendance included “The East” filmmaker Zal Batmanglij and “Fall On Your Sword’s” actor Will Bates. After the viewing commenced, the cast, crew and all associated with I Origins gathered to celebrate and discuss the film’s hopeful future.
