Miami, FL – October 11, 2013 – Guess who came to lunch at Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink? ELLE DECOR. The magazine donated $15,000 to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as part of a partnership with the organization for the magazine’s Modern Life Concept House, which will return to South Florida during Basel. Among the noted guests at the lunch were Dr. Stephen D. Nimer, director of Sylvester, as well as Michael Boodro, ELLE DECOR editor-in-chief, David Hamilton, ELLE DECOR associate publisher, developer Bart Reines and Craig Robins, CEO and President of Dacra.

On December 4, during Basel, ELLE DECOR Modern Life Concept House will debut. Top designers, picked by the magazine, with be paired with high-end lifestyle brands to revamp a tropical-modern, waterfront home in Miami Beach’s Sunset Island II. All proceeds from house tour ticket sales will go to support ongoing research for cancer treatments and patient quality of life.
