Bal Harbour, FL – October 3, 2013 – What better way to celebrate an 80th anniversary party than with art, shoes and green drinks? That’s exactly how Lacoste’s fete at Addict in Bal Harbour went down on Thursday, October 3. Artist Romero Britto was on hand to chat up guests and watch as his hand-painted Lacoste shoes were auctioned off to the highest bidder. Guests enjoyed green crocktails topped off with gummy gators, of course, while tunes from Salin G kept the crowd, which included more than a dozen of Miami’s fashion bloggers, in good spirits.

The event also marked the unveiling of the brand’s 80th anniversary collection of limited-edition Rene Lacoste OG sneakers, a throwback to the 1963 original shoe called “The Crocodile.” It was these limited-edition sneakers that Britto painted and displayed for the auction fully benefitting Best Buddies.

And let’s just put it this way, they went in a gator snap.
