Task Force 40 by Matthew Singer

Bal Harbour, FL – October 3, 2013 – Bold jewel tones, velvet jackets, motorcycle jackets, cardis, textured shoes—the menswear looks at Thursday night’s preview event for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force “Sparkle” Miami Recognition Dinner at Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour were as decadent as the crowd. Sharing these looks of the season was Neiman Marcus Men’s Fashion Director Matthew Singer. The Zodiac Restaurant was cleared and turned into a Sparkle lounge, where guests could sip complimentary Grey Goose cocktails and check out the looks. The more than 100 guests on the third level of the store learned details regarding the upcoming dinner and mingled with committee members, table hosts and Task Force supporters. It was fashion for a very noble cause.
Sparkle’s Miami Recognition Dinner will take place on Saturday, November 9 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and will honor LGBT activist and Star Trek co-star George Takei and former SAVE Dade board chairman Joseph Falk. Last year, more than 35 sponsors and nearly 800 guests contributed to a record-breaking year with the event grossing more than $500,000, making it the most successful Task Force Miami Recognition Dinner in history.
Here’s to hoping this year is yet another record breaker.
