Capital Cities at Ultra Music Festival 2013 Weekend 2 Day 1 on March 22, 2013

Happy Friday! If you’re as ready as we are for the weekend, you’re in luck. Here, in the middle of June, we have lots going on in Miami that won’t leave you bored in the least. No matter what you’re into, there’s something for everyone this weekend, especially for dads. Waste no time and get your weekend started off right tonight, and continue the fun through Sunday. There’s concerts, anniversary celebrations, and finger-lickin’ deliciousness. Get ready to have an awesome weekend!

Dragonette at Grand Central

It’s Friday night, and Canadian electronic band Dragonette is in town. They’re performing live at Grand Central tonight, which was just recently voted by Miami New Times as the Best Live Music Venue, so you know it’s going to be good. Usually when they come into town, it’s to do two or three songs at a club. But this time, fans are in for a treat with a full-on live show with the release of their recent album, Body Parts. The opening act is Nightbox and you can still get tickets here.

Capital Cities at Bardot

Another great live music act in store for Friday night is Capital Cities at Bardot. The indie pop band is returning for the first time since Ultra Music Festival in March to give an intimate show at the Midtown venue. Miami’s music enthusiasts are definitely not in a shortage of things to do this weekend, and are even faced with a bit of a dilemma. Either way, it’s bound to be a musically-inclined Friday night.

One that’s worth checking into (pun intended) is at the James Royal Palm. Nothing says manly food like chowing down at Pride & Joy BBQ in Wynwood. Order your padre a big ol’ slab of BBQ ribs with all the right fixins and wash it down with any one (or three) of their long list of brews.
