Basel, Switzerland – June 9, 2013 – World Red Eye has flown across the pond to cover international design show, Design Miami/ at the world’s premier international art show, Art Basel. Held each June in Basel, Switzerland, Art Basel also comes to Miami Beach in December and most recently started a fair in Hong Kong. Design Miami/ is the global forum for all things design, taking place in June and December at the Basel fairs. Last night kicked off the week of art with a welcome cocktail to celebrate the opening of the fair with champagne in hand. Held at the Volkshaus, the cocktail hour brought together an international mix of collectors, designers, gallerists, curators, and art aficionados from around the world, even some from Miami.
