Trisha Yearwood

Miami Beach, FL – February 24, 2013 – One of the grand finale events was the annual Sunday brunch as the South Beach Wine and Food Festival came to a close. This year, country-singer-turned-Food Network chef Trisha Yearwood hosted the midday meal with eight other chefs, both local and national, coming together to serve up homestyle Southern fare at the Loews Hotel Miami Beach. Each chef offered their own course, with Kris Wessel from Florida Cookery serving a crawfish sardou, while celebrity chef Hugh Acheson did an Anson Oats with smoked city ham, and Trisha Yearwood pulled out all the stops with her baked ham with sugar honey glaze, mac and cheese, biscuits and sausage gravy, and key lime cake. At the end, Yearwood sang a few of her hits while brunchees sat and enjoyed with their bellies full.
