Miami Beach, FL – September 26, 2024 – The Bass Museum of Art celebrated the opening of Rachel Feinstein: The Miami Years, the New York-based artist’s first museum exhibition in her hometown, showcasing nearly three decades of work. Following the exhibition, an intimate dinner was hosted and sponsored by Zaytinya and The Ritz-Carlton South Beach. Guests enjoyed a curated menu by Zaytinya, complemented by wines provided by Dry Farm Wines.
The exhibition highlights Feinstein’s multidisciplinary approach to sculpture, incorporating painting, video, performance, and installation, while exploring themes of intimacy, vulnerability, and abjection. The Miami Years is curated by James Voorhies, The Bass Chief Curator, and Claudia Mattos, Associate Curator of New Media Art. The exhibition is made possible with support from Gagosian, Givenchy, PHILLIPS, and additional sponsors including Arison Arts Foundation, Dry Farm Wines, Funding Arts Network, The Ritz-Carlton South Beach, and Zaytinya.
