Miami, FL – October 1, 2024 – Noble 33, the parent company behind Toca Madera, Meduza Mediterrania, Casa Madera & 1587 Prime is bringing Sparrow Italia — a unique tribute to Italy’s national bird — to Miami, offering a diverse, contemporary approach to Italian cuisine overseas.
With their original location in London, business partners and restauranteurs Tosh Berman and Mikey Tanha set their sights on the Magic City to expand the brand. “Tosh and I have been visiting Miami for many years now and have built a large network of friends and great relationships in this city,” Shares Mikey. “We decided it’s best for us to move here considering it will be our biggest market for Noble 33 once we open all of our upcoming venues between Miami Beach, Brickell and Wynwood.”
With flavors designed to transcend all boundaries, Sparrow is described as “Red sauce meets 90’s east coast hip hop — Sometimes it’s the remix of a classic that brings new rhythm.” Some of the must-try menu items for the duo? “Start with the B.I.G. Meatball, a hearty classic, or savor the delicate Wagyu Carpaccio and refreshing Hamachi for a taste of elegance. For a raw delight, the Ahi Tuna Tartare stands out with its vibrant flavors.”
With plans to open multiple locations throughout the city in the future, Sparrow is making a grand entrance in Miami’s culinary scene — and they’re here to stay.
WRE: What inspired you to bring Sparrow Italia to Miami, and why did you choose Wynwood for your first location?
Mikey Tanha: Tosh and I have been visiting Miami for many years now and have built a large network of friends and great relationships in this city. We decided it’s best for us to move here considering it will be our biggest market for Noble 33 once we open all of our upcoming venues between Miami Beach, Brickell and Wynwood. Following our most recent debuts in Houston and New York City, Miami was a natural next choice for Noble 33 as we continue to expand. Wynwood was a great choice to launch our first Miami restaurant as it’s a fast-growing neighborhood that’s attracting locals, foodies, and other hospitality brands focused on bringing unique concepts to the Miami market.

WRE: What kind of atmosphere do you want to create for Miami’s diverse dining scene?
TB: Sometimes it’s the remix of a classic that brings new rhythm. Sparrow Italia is a modern take on Italian dining, unbound by preconceptions. It’s where the Old World meets new traditions and old companions break bread again. Our expansive menu is a tribute to Italy’s national bird, symbolizing joy, simplicity, and the freedom of the soul. The flavors are designed to transcend eras and oceans – sophisticated, innovative, elegant. We want our diners to embrace an experience that’s as unapologetically bold and dynamic as the celebrated times that helped inspire it.

WRE: What signature dishes can diners look forward to at Sparrow Italia?
MT: At Sparrow Italia, diners can indulge in an array of signature dishes that showcase the restaurant’s commitment to bold flavors and high-quality ingredients. Start with the B.I.G. Meatball, a hearty classic, or savor the delicate Wagyu Carpaccio and refreshing Hamachi for a taste of elegance. For a raw delight, the Ahi Tuna Tartare stands out with its vibrant flavors. The menu also features Mikey’s Spicy Rigatoni alla Vodka, a fan favorite, alongside the indulgent Bone Marrow Cappelletti. For pasta lovers, the Truffle Cacio e Pepe offers a luxurious twist on a traditional dish. Meat enthusiasts can enjoy the 10oz Calabrian Chili Rubbed NY Strip or the rich 16oz Wagyu Ribeye, while seafood lovers will be captivated by the Whole Lobster Oreganata, bursting with Mediterranean flair.
WRE: How does Sparrow Italia stand out from your other restaurant concepts?
Tosh Berman: All of Noble 33’s concepts offer a form of live entertainment, from fire dancers, to DJ’s, however Sparrow will be our first concept with a full live band and vocalist, covering 90’s hip hop tracks in a soulful, jazzy way.
WRE: What excites you most about launching this new concept in Miami?
MT: Miami is not home to both Tosh, myself and some of our senior team members. We are excited to have a place in our new hometown that we can call our own, where we can dine with friends and bring our version of hospitality to the Miami community.
WRE: What special offerings can locals expect from Sparrow Italia?
MT: We will be offering a special “Pizza by the Slice” menu at our bar only. These pizzas will be presented slightly differently to the two on our main Dinner menu, and some of the choices might surprise you.
WRE: Do you have any future plans for Miami? Any new concepts on the horizon?
MT: Yes – we plan to open many more locations in Miami, a few being Casa Madera in Wynwood, Toca Madera in Brickell, and Meduza Mediterrania in Miami Beach.
