Locust Projects Annual Wavemaker Splash Party

Miami, FL – September 16, 2024 – Locust Projects’ 2024 Splash! Party hosted by The Vagabond Hotel celebrated the 11 Miami artists awarded WaveMaker incubator grants for community-driven projects. The celebratory, invitation-only event welcomed past Locust Projects’ WaveMakers and exhibiting artists, local curators, Locust Projects Board members, and INCUBATOR donors. Held poolside in one of MiMO’s most beautifully restored hotels, guests enjoyed music by DJ Michael and “Heat Wave” crafted cocktails featuring Chawar agave and MEP juices. The first 50 guests received a limited-edition beach towel designed by 2023 Wavemaker Grantee Monica López De Victoria. WaveMaker grants at Locust Projects are supported by the Warhol Foundations’ regional regranting program awarding a total of $630,000 in grants to 127 Miami creatives since 2015.
