WRE News: Trulieve Invests Over $75 Million to Back Florida’s Recreational Marijuana Initiative

Miami, FL – September 5, 2024 – Trulieve is making a massive bet on Florida’s recreational marijuana initiative.

As Florida’s largest medical marijuana company, Trulieve has donated more than $75 million to support Amendment 3, which would legalize recreational marijuana for adults if passed. With 91% of the campaign’s funds coming from Trulieve, the company stands to gain significantly from the potential new market.

The amendment needs at least 60% voter approval in the November 5 election to pass. If successful, it could open up Florida, already a major player in the medical marijuana industry, to become one of the largest legal cannabis markets globally.
