FIU Welcome Back Bash hosted by the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management & Office of the Vice Provost

Miami, FL – August 29, 2024 – Hundreds of FIU students were welcomed back to the Biscayne Bay campus during the annual Welcome Back Bash hosted by the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and the Office of the Vice Provost.

Students were treated to food and fun and got to chill out by the bay under the Boucher Brothers umbrellas.

The fall 2024 semester officially kicked off on Monday. Students from more than 142 countries attend FIU, which is the 7th largest university in the country. Its hospitality school hosts dozens of events yearly. The patio is actually where the South Beach Wine & Food Festival originated and now more than 1,500 FIU students help run it and benefit from the proceeds.
