Miami, FL – July 27, 2024 –  Lucía Maman‘s new exhibition presents large-scale portraits of individuals born with differential DNA’s. The differences embodied by the subjects that make up “Temples of Otherness” invite viewers to consider the human impulse towards transformation. Despite attempts to pathologize anomaly, there is identity in its embodiment. The artist’s emphasis on the subjects’ gaze seeks to prioritize individual expression over clinical prejudice, highlighting the unique ethos of each individual, and reminding us of the shared humanity that unites us.
