Miami, FL – June 14, 2024 – The Formula E World Championship will be returning to Miami next year after a decade-long hiatus.

This time, the international electric car racing series will take place at Homestead-Miami Speedway on April 12, 2025, marking the fifth stop in the 17-race season. Unlike the 2015 event in downtown Miami, which faced logistical issues, the new location aims to provide a smoother experience for fans, who can enjoy the entire race day in one packed schedule.

Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds highlights the appeal of the Homestead venue, emphasizing its proximity to downtown Miami and its suitability for the electric racing format. The 2024-25 Formula E season will feature races across 11 cities, starting in Sao Paulo on December 7, 2024, and concluding in London in July 2025. With events in iconic locations like Monaco and Tokyo, the series continues to expand its global footprint.

The Homestead-Miami race is expected to attract a significant crowd, contributing to the growing popularity of Formula E in the U.S., as it follows in the footsteps of successful events like the F1 Miami Grand Prix. Dodds is optimistic about the Miami race, believing it will draw sports fans eager to experience this unique and competitive form of motorsport.
