Miami, FL – May, 28, 2024 – Miami’s parks rank 36th in the nation according to a new study.
The Trust For Public Land compared the parks in the 100 most populous cities in the U.S., evaluating factors such as equity, access, investment, amenities, and acreage.
Miami’s parks were found to be smaller than average, with a median size of 2.6 acres and covering 7% of the city area, both below national norms. However, 89% of Miami’s residents live within a 10-minute walk of a park, which is higher than the national average.
