Miami, FL – March 23, 2024 – Miami’s cultural insiders gathered at Art of Hip Hop for an intimate evening celebrating the intersection of food, art, and music. Friends toasted with craft cocktails courtesy of Monkey Shoulder scotch whiskey while celebrating 35 years of De La Soul’s iconic album 3 Feet High and Rising, which made headlines this week for its upcoming induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The icing on the cake was simultaneously celebrating the birthday of DJ Maseo who was accompanied by his wife Tina. Celebrity Chef Amaris Jones prepared a 4 course meal each paired with highly thought out cocktail pairings shaken up by Monkey Shoulder Brand Ambassador Anna Mains who came up with impeccable libations such as “Daisies for Trugoy” which featured a Greek yogurt clarified Daisy cocktail variation as a nod to the late group member Trugoy, which is yogurt spelled backwards.  A recurring theme of the evening was the daisy flower as Trugoy said that the age of hip hop that De La Soul represented was for “DA Inner Sound Y’all ”
