Miami Beach, FL – March 9, 2024 – The Confidante is embarking on a new chapter, rebranding and welcoming culinary star Chef Jose Andres at the helm. The Confidante Hotel, situated at 4041 Collins Avenue, is set to close its doors on March 25 for a significant renovation, reemerging as Andaz Miami Beach, retaining its connection with Hyatt Hotels Corporation. The transformation aims to infuse the historic property with contemporary luxury while honoring its Art Deco heritage and storied past that dates back to 1940. The renovation is not just a facelift but a complete reimagination of the guest experience, from the lobby designed to offer ocean views upon check-in to the introduction of two innovative dining concepts and a cocktail bar by the Jose Andres Group, marking their first partnership with Hyatt. These venues aim to become culinary destinations for both travelers and locals, showcasing Andrés’ commitment to culinary excellence and innovation. The hotel’s rich history as a beacon of Miami Beach’s architectural and social evolution adds depth to its modern incarnation. Surviving through wars, hurricanes, and cultural shifts, it stands as a testament to the area’s resilience and transformation. The redesign will extend to its 288 rooms and 68 suites, the lobby, dining areas, and outdoor spaces, including two swimming pools with enhanced views and functionality.
