WRE News: A Look at the Proposed Lincoln Road Revitalization Project from The Ritz Carlton-Sagamore Group

Miami Beach, FL – August 17, 2023 – The Ritz Carlton South Beach is poised for a transformation as its owners reveal visionary plans for a dual-phase redevelopment of the property and surrounding areas on Lincoln Road.

The focal point of this project entails the construction of an impressive 15-story residential tower boasting 30 luxury units, rising to height of 182 ft. The blueprint for the Ritz Carlton’s evolution includes an array of enhancements including a rooftop expansion for the cabana building, an invitingly redesigned pool deck, a revamped restaurant area, and an elegant new entrance canopy on Lincoln Road. Notably, the historic Sagamore building within the Ritz Carlton property will also witness a revival, marked by façade restoration, a lobby facelift, and the addition of outdoor seating space.

Strategic changes to pedestrian and vehicular access are among the plans for the revitalization of Lincoln Road, as well as a new gateway element at the street end, an expanded beach access walkway for improved visibility, and various open spaces and thoughtfully designed landscaping along the Beach Walk.

After approval from the City of Miami Beach Commission, the project is now slated to go before The Historic Preservation Board on September 12.
