WRE News: Brightline Ridership Surges 78% in First Half of 2023

Miami, FL – July 26, 2023 – Brightline high-speed rail has witnessed a 78% surge in ridership during the initial half of 2023.

Within the first six months of this year, a total of 956,120 passengers rode Brightline, compared to the 538,140 passengers from the same period in 2022. As such, revenue for the company is rising even faster, up 129% in the first half of 2023 to $30.2m (compared to $13.2m in the first six months of 2022).

As the demand for rail travel continues to rise, Brightline has plans to expand its services further. The company aims to extend its tracks to Orlando later this summer, creating an interconnected network that would not only enhance regional mobility but also cater to tourists heading to popular destinations within the state.
