WRE News: Four Offers Received for Genting’s Resorts World Miami Property

Miami, FL – July 24, 2023 – Four major development firms have submitted offers for the iconic Resorts World Miami property owned by Resorts World Genting Group, as reported recently. 

Genting purchased the site in 2011 from the Miami Herald for $236 million, adding development rights on nearby county property shortly after. The company also owns the Omni and other nearby properties which it plans to remain in ownership of.

Strategically located in downtown Miami, the site has long been the subject of development debates. Now, with the property back on the market after SmartCity ended its bid in June, the four interested parties see an opportunity to shape the city’s skyline.
