Miami, FL – May 28, 2023 – Miami is poised to secure the Super Bowl in 2027, despite a late challenge from Los Angeles.

Rodney Barreto, chairman of South Florida’s Super Bowl Bid Committees, expressed the desire to bring the game back to Miami, emphasizing the success of their previous hosting in 2020. With the next two Super Bowls already assigned, the 2027 game appears to be South Florida’s best opportunity, considering their experience as a record-breaking host of 11 Super Bowls.

While the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium is expected to secure the 2026 game, Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium seems better equipped to handle the 2027 event given its packed calendar, including annual events like Dolphins games, Formula 1 racing, and the Miami Open tennis tournament. However, Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, known as one of the top NFL venues, is also vying for the 2027 Super Bowl after hosting the game in 2022. The NFL may even consider Nashville as a future contender, as the Tennessee Titans plan to open a new stadium in 2027, targeting Super Bowls, Final Fours, and college football playoff games.
