Miami, FL – December 8, 2012 – The dynamic between celebrity and paparazzi—a love-hate relationship of sorts—is undoubtedly an alliance that drives today’s social media circuits.  When Entourage star Adrian Grenier embarked on a mission to unravel said relationship, he realized much more about the dreaded enemy by stepping into the shoes of the industry’s youngest paparazzo, 14-year-old Austin Visschedyk.

Teenage Paparazzo is an HBO documentary that spotlights Visschedyk’s now lucrative career as a celebrity lensman. A constant subject of scrutiny by Visschedyk and those of his kind, Grenier brazenly reveals the story behind Visschedyk’s chosen career and even forgoes a day as a paparazzi himself—supporting the notion that things are not always what they seem.

To celebrate Grenier’s film, the actor partnered with The National YoungArts Foundation during Art Basel Miami Beach to host a sold-out screening and panel discussion with World Red Eye Founder Seth Browarnik, actor Christian Slater and columnist Lesley Abravanel. The curated panel—a team of experts on the subject of celebrity and society—divulged into subjects including the rarely highlighted advantages of paparazzi, the future of social media and the cost of fame itself.
