Miami, FL – February 25, 2023 – A profound appreciation for the aromatic flavors of Asia infused this SOBEWFF® lunch headlined by Cédric Vongerichten and Tyson Cole. The Bangkok-born Vongerichten, whose impressive career includes stints at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong and El Bulli in Barcelona, has often been singled out by diners and critics alike for his globally-minded cuisine – so winningly realized at Wayan, the chef’s excellent French-Indonesian restaurant in New York City. For this intimate event, Vongerichten joined forces with Cole, a James Beard Award winner whose unique approach – meticulous and playful, by turns – is at the center of Uchi, the splendid Austin restaurant he opened in 2003 to universal acclaim. Uchi’s impossibly chic Wynwood outpost showcased both chefs’ finely-honed techniques and layered approach to multi-cultural cuisine, as they delivered an inventive menu that awoken guests’ senses with the fresh, exotic flavors of the East.
