Miami Race for Inclusion at Bayfront Park

Miami, FL – December 8, 2022 – The Miami Race for Inclusion drew hundreds of champions to Bayfront Park on December 8 to support the athletes of Special Olympics Florida. The Race for Inclusion is an annual campaign of Special Olympics Florida to create communities of inclusion and acceptance for people with intellectual disabilities. It features events and fundraisers all across Florida, inviting participants to be part of the Inclusion Revolution. The event was supported by some of South Florida’s leading businesses and organizations, including Publix, Accenture and Nomi Health.  Special Olympics Florida used the event to present long-time champion Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sally Heyman with its Local Hero Award.  Special guests included University of Miami Football strength and conditioning coach, Aaron Feld, Miami Marlins pitcher Jesús Luzardo and Marlins mascot Billy the Marlin.
