2nd Annual Genesis Sharks Event at Miami Children’s Museum

Miami, FL – May 14, 2022 – The second annual Genesis Sharks event took place at the Miami Children’s Museum on Saturday, May 14th, raising $21k for the Genesis Hopeful Haven organization. During the event, five young entrepreneurs from the foster program had the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of expert “sharks” for a chance to turn their dreams into a reality. The panel of sharks consisted of Christy Martin, of Terra, Jackie Soffer, CEO of Turnberry, David Grutman, CEO of Groot Hospitality, and supermodel/businesswoman Karolina Kurkova.

Founded by Fritzie Saintoiry, Genesis Hopeful Haven is a non-profit organization that operates four home locations throughout South Florida and countless after-school and summer programs. Its mission is to prepare foster youth to transition from the foster care system to a purpose-driven adulthood by providing a haven that promotes hope, healing and independence.
