Miami Beach, FL – November 15, 2012 – The James Royal Palm, the most anticipated hotel to open in Miami Beach this year, made its official debut last week, marked by the unveiling of the new street-side sign on Collins Avenue. The sign’s “big reveal” not only signified the arrival of this well-known brand to Miami, but also reimaged this landmarked Art Deco hotel. The James also has locations in Chicago and New York City.

The opening ceremony took place on The Lawn, the front-facing outdoor social space unique to The James Royal Palm, and was followed by a champagne and cocktail fete with food and drinks by Florida Cookery, the hotel’s signature restaurant helmed by celebrated local chef Kris Wessel. The festivity was attended by Vice Mayor Michael Gongora and other respected city officials as well as hotel executives including Lisa Zandee, Senior Vice President of Brand Management for Denihan Hospitality and original founder of The James brand as well as Igor Krnajski, Vice President of Design & Construction, Denihan Hospitality. The event was also attended by representatives of the hotel’s Cultural Collection partners including New World Symphony, YoungArts and Public School. Attendees were invited into the hotel, which was renovated to reflect the historic property’s glorious past as a South Beach icon by Lauren Rottet of Rottet Studio.
