Locust Projects’ Pop-Up Art Benefit Preview

Miami, FL – April 28, 2022 – On Thursday, April 28, Locust Projects hosted a private preview cocktail of their Pop-Up Art Sale in the Miami Design District open to the public April 29-May 1, 11am-7pm. Proceeds benefit Locust Art Builders (LAB): Summer Art Intensive for Teens, now in its 13th year providing full scholarships to 30 Miami teens to collaboratively build an exhibition from scratch at Locust Projects.

Guests, including Locust Board Members, Karen Boyer, Bette Ann Fialkov, Diane Grob, John Joseph Lin, Debra Scholl, Munisha Underhill and Antonia Wright perused the available works featuring commissioned editions and donated original works by past and upcoming Locust Projects’ exhibiting artists. At the core of the Pop-Up is an installation by We Are Nice’n Easy–consisting of an interactive, physical “swimming pool” lounge space filled with a collection of pool float soft sculptures and their corresponding NFTs—along the walls are recent photographic editions by Cristina Lei Rodriguez, Juana Valdes, Elizabeth Withstandley, and Antonia Wright, as well as prints by Gonzalo Fuenmayor, Adler Guerrier, Simón Vega, and more.
