Rhythm Foundation Fundraising Gala at North Beach Bandshell

Miami Beach, FL – November 11, 2021 – On Thursday night, Rhythm Foundation Fundraising Gala celebrated the dedication of the North Beach Bandshell as a historic landmark, and made a major announcement about the future of Rhythm Foundation‘s programs in the venue.

The evening began with a cocktail reception, featuring an immersive visual installation from artist Natasha Tomchin. The night was hosted by Johanna Gomez NBC reporter for “6 in the Mix” and dinner was provided by Fogo de Chao for 250 supporters and dignitaries seated at tables of six. A number of speakers presented from the stage to honor current supporters and those who have helped sustain the growth of the organization since its formation in 1988. Following these remarks, the feature content for the evening was a video presentation on the venues new LED wall highlighting the past 34 seasons of the foundation, a review of their recent work with live stream performances during the pandemic era, and a glimpse into the future capped by an announcement of their major new foundation support. It was announced that North Beach Bandshell will use leading technology to enhance its programming and create immersive experiences for local and global audiences. The upgrade is made possible through a $1.5 million investment from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation in the Rhythm Foundation. The celebration was concluded with a set of global grooves performed by Erick Paredes and friends.

This event truly marks the beginning of a new era for The Rhythm Foundation.
