Miami, FL – September 24, 2021 – In an always-on society with diminished connection to nature, we are faced with less opportunity to recuperate our mental and physical energy. From architecture to artistic installations, design and technology are offering enticing new ways for city-dwellers to access the benefits of surrounding themselves with the natural world and bringing awareness to its disappearance. This panel of creatives shared their thought-provoking work and prompt discourse on how art and design can be positive catalysts for action in the battle to slow climate change.

Panelists included Jean Thierry Besins, Artist, Fereshteh Toosi, Interdisciplinary Artist, Juliette Desfeux, Sustainability Advisor at The Spinnaker Group, Hunter Vaughan, Environmental Media Scholar and Sr. Research Associate, University of Cambridge, Lauren Shapiro, Artist and Visual Arts Faculty M.F.A. from University of Miami. The panel was moderated by Camila Straschnoy, Co-Founder of Mate House Consulting.
