The Pool Hall at Red Rooster Overtown Grand Opening

Miami, FL – September 24, 2021 – On Friday, September 24th, Marcus Samuelsson, Derek Fleming, and Michael Simkins hosted a VIP celebration to debut The Pool Hall at Red Rooster Overtown, the restaurant’s 2nd floor lounge and entertainment space. The evening featured a first look at the space along with music by Jarobi White from A Tribe Called Quest and bites from Executive Chef Tristen Epps. Miami’s best showed up to celebrate the debut including former pro basketball player Joakim Noah, Alexis Stoudemire, Tracy Mourning and Miami HEAT’s Steve Stowe, among others.

The speakeasy style venue features a roof deck and was designed by Derek Fleming to pay homage to Overtown’s golden age as a nightlife destination for Miami’s who’s who in the 1960′ and 70’s. Now open to the public, The Pool Hall will showcase world-class DJs, live bands and curated events for creatives and culture seekers, offering a new entertainment destination inspired by Overtown and to be enjoyed by Miami and beyond. Guests of the pool hall can also indulge in snacks from The Pool Hall’s menu, curated by Tristen Epps, specialty cocktails, nightly entertainment, and good vibes. The Pool Hall is open weekly Thursday-Sunday from 9pm-3am.
