Miami Beach, FL – May 22, 2021 – SOBEWFF® paid tribute to the outstanding accomplishments of the culinary community’s beloved Italian icon and Chef Giada De Laurentiis and beverage industry’s revered leader Eduardo M. Sardiña at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. De Laurentiis is an Emmy Award-winning television personality best known for her hit shows on Food Network, a New York Times’ bestselling author and flourishing restaurateur. Throughout his illustrious career in the beverage industry, Sardiña came to serve as the President and Chief Executive officer of Bacardi U.S.A., Inc. An unparalleled roster of highly decorated chefs came together to curate a menu designed to celebrate these two esteemed personalities, including: Giancarla Bodoni, Frederic Delaire, Alex Guarnaschelli, Michael Pirolo, and Fabio Trabocchi.

This year’s Tribute Dinner was as vibrant as the careers of these two hospitality pioneers, with Miami royalty and Masters of Ceremonies – as well as highly-awarded musicians, philanthropists and humanitarians – Emilio and Emily Estefan guiding guests through a night of live music and, of course, exceptional spirits, wine and food. The dinner itself included distinct touches designed to pay homage to both De Laurentiis’ European charm and Sardiña and Bacardi’s Caribbean flair, accented by the Estefan’s renowned Magic City panache. Among the evening’s highlights was an extravagant live auction featuring once-in-a-lifetime travel and dining experiences.
