Miami Beach, FL – April 11, 2021 – Miami’s movers, shakers and burger makers gathered this past Sunday, April 11 at the iconic Bath Club Miami Beach for the first-ever “Burger Bath” hosted by South Beach Wine & Food Festival Founder Lee Brian Schrager and The Peebles Corporation’s Don & Katrina Peebles. The event ushers in the 20th anniversary edition of SOBEWFF® pushed by the pandemic from February to May.
Festival VIPs and club members dined with the chefs behind Jr’s Gourmet Burgers, 109 Burger Joint, Ted’s Burgers, Billy G Catering and The Bath Club in the new private-membership club, which just unveiled its $8M rebirth and “exclusively inclusive” mission to celebrate diversity and change. Schrager teased the upcoming SOBEWFF® edition with remarks celebrating progress, including The Bath Club bylaws of 1926’s strict “no Blacks, no Jews, no dogs” policy and this year’s festival requirement of “no vaccine, no negative test, no entry.” Celebrations continue at The Bath Club’s official SOBEWFF® dinner May 22, featuring the culinary talents of JJ Johnson, Rico Love, Melba Wilson & Jeff Masanz.
